Matar Pulav


Ingredients:
  • 100 gms ghee
  • 6 cloves (laung / lavang)
  • cinnamon (dalchini)
  • 3 cardamoms
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds (shahjeera)
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
  • 50 gms chopped onions
  • 200 gms green peas
  • 400 gms long grained rice (basmati)
  • salt to taste
  • For garnish: chopped coriander (dhania)
Preparetion Method:
  • Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker.
  • Add the cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, shahjeera and ginger-garlic paste saute it for few minutes on a slow flame.
  • Add the onions and fry till they turns brown, add the green peas and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add the basmati rice, 600 ml water or coconut milk and salt put the lid and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  • Serve hot garnish with coriander.
